What do you guys think?

This is a standard (2008) G37S Rebuilt that I am currently financing off my buddy. Apparently the accident wasn't even that bad as the story was that a drunk lady slammed into a pole and then she no longer wanted it anymore so she wrote it off and some random guy purchased it off the insurance company and fixed it up then he put it up on Craigslist and my buddy bought it and tuned it up himself. I am buying it for $25,500 with 136 kms. It is fully modded out and I would love to hear all of your opinions! I am just getting into modding and would definitely like to start sharing with you guys my progress etc. Let me know!

Mods:

- RAYS Gram Lights 57S-Pro w/ Titanium Lip
- ART Motordyne Test Pipes
- JIC Coilovers
- Southbend Stage 2 Clutch w/ HD Slave and Stainless Steel Clutch Line
- Cusco Strut Brace
- Godspeed Sway Bars
- Stillen Gen 3 Intake
- Slotted Brake Rotors
- 32 Row Oil cooler
- MotorDyne (ART) Test Pipes
- Invidia Gemini Catback Titanium w/ Straight Titanium Tips
- Michelin Wind-shield Wipers
- Front Splitters
- Side Splitters
- IPL Front Bumper
- IPL Side Skirts
- Hide Away License Plates
- Iron-man Headlights by ONEighty
- ZSpeed Performance Aluminum Engine Splash Shield

At first, I thought the price was ridiculous...but then I looked at the list of mods, and now I'm not sure.

Yeah buddy would have let the G go for like $16-17k stock but then I insisted that he gave it to me exactly the way it was excluding the dashcam and so we ended up finalizing the deal at $25,500..

That's a clean looking car, surprising to hear that it was ever wrecked/rebuilt. I can definitely vouch for Southbend Clutch, had a stage 2 in my 350Z and never had any problems with it.

As far as everything else goes, those are all top-notch mods... I'm sure if you decide to start modding on your own, most of those parts are popular enough you could sell/trade on here for most anything you'd like to change out.

One question, what's up with the lower grille... looks like your license plate folds up all incognito or something?

Haha yes the plates fold up at the front and the rear has a shutter that slides down. It is controlled with a remote and inside the car there's an external light that indicates when they're activated. My buddy goes to a lot of car shows therefore he installed the mod so it looks cleaner.

Even with the mods I still think the price is too high for an 08 that was rebuilt. Maybe 21k.

Price does seem a bit high .... looks to be a pretty big gap around the hood. Hope it all works out for you OP.

OP, is this a done deal? At first I thought you were asking for advice on the purchase, but after reading it a second time, it sounds like you've already come to an agreement. Is that right? Is this now your car?

Nice G for sure. Is the title on the car clean ? or show as being a salvage ? the price seams a little high, but does have some killer mods.

I know ICBC (insurance company in BC, Canada) won't write off the car unless the cost of the repair is more than 70-90% the value of the car. Even the owner wants the car to be written off, ICBC won't do it unless the repair condition meets the criteria mentioned above.

For your car, OP, I think you can ask ICBC about the report for the car's damage with the cost about $15.00 - $25.00.

Also, like other person mentioned, there's a big gap around the hood and definitely I would check what had been damaged under the hood as well.

We're used to the old buy first, ask questions later around here, lol.

Price is extremely high. So you're financing off your buddy personally? Cause I know banks don't finance salvage/rebuilt vehicles..and often insurances don't insure it as well.

Looks nice though. Love the gram lights.

I think I'd keep looking, the G has nice parts but that hood gap is worrisome and the price is quite steep for that many miles. Just check some of the vehicles for sale in our Sale section
