Autokitz V2 CF diffuser sticking issues

Autokitz V2 CF diffuser sticking issues

Good Morning guys,

got my diffuser two weeks ago, now the sticky tape thats holds on the diffuser is slowly wearing off, now one side is fully stuck on and the other side you see the tape ripping slowly, has anyone had this issue before? if so is there something i can do?

my brother's car has the same problem. I don't see any other way to fix it but to remove it, put new mounting tape and install it again.

you can also use adhesive promoter and add extra mounting tape

I had the same issue, as myk1013 mentioned, try taking it off again, cleaning off excess residue with alcohol and get the 3M double sided heavy duty tape from Home Depot. It should hold upto 20lbs which is more than enough to hold these diffusers in place.

Be sure to get the all weather or outside double sided tape. it'll be more than enough.

I had the same issue. I got a tube of silicone from Home Depot. I put a thin bead all the way around, taped it in place for a few hours while the silicone cured/dried. Its been several months now...so far, so good
