Ark vs MXP vs Greddy sp elite
Ark vs MXP vs Greddy sp elite
Looking to swap my stillen exhaust out and get something more aggressive, deep and throaty. Never heard any of the exhausts in person. Steering more towards the Ark. Anyone here know how they sound and can possibly help me out? Thanks!
A full MXP sounds like ****. I have a neighbor down the street from me with it on his G and I just shake my head each time I hear him roll through. ARK sounds incredible, I saw and heard it at a meet in West Palm a bit ago. Fast Intentions is also a reputable and less costly exhaust system. I also have heard a Greddy, but was not impressed with the rasp. I'd swing for the ARK if you can handle $1800 for it. You will not be let down.

To each their own. I like my MXP. To the OP, try to listen to some exhausts in person at a meet or car show if you can. You tube recordings and other peoples opinions are no way to pick out an exhaust. My wife and I were at a 370Z show with her car and heard a Megan Racing Drift Spec and it sounded awesome in person. On youtube, not so much. That being said the MXP is loud, and I've heard they can be raspy with HFCs. I have stock cats, and I think it has a nice deep sound with no drone on the highway and a nice wail when the rpms are up high. Happy Hunting

mxp exhaust
i have mxp exhaust on my g37 coupe paired with berk hfc and its loud..slight rasp and drone at low rpms, switched to fast intentions RHFC and it sounds amazing, no rasp no drone, nice deep tone, but not as loud as the MXP/berk hfc combination.. if you want loud mxp is loud when paired with HFC..you want a deep tone RHFC from fast intention are great.hope that helps.
I wish there were more G's around my area. Can't find any that aren't ridiculous and obnoxious. But thanks for the info on the mxp. Youtube doesn't help much either. The search continues.......ark's in the lead tho lol
I have the Stillen as well and have heard all the YouTube videos. But even on there the Stillen sounds good. I think you got to find in-person exhausts to get the real picture. And understand what they have on their car verses just the exhaust. Im going to the Z1 even in Carrollton Ga in October 10-11 just to listen to set ups. It will be a gathering of just Gs and Zs so i am sure there will be plenty to sample. On YouTube i like FI, Ark, AutoHaus and there was a couple others so hoping some of the cars there will have them. I have the IPL and Stillen was better than that but still not like i want it. Sorry guys you have probably heard me post this opinion a few times now. My wife has ADD so i tend to repeat stuff. lol

No offense guys. The person I'm speaking of has HFCs with a full MXP exhaust. It's pretty much lost the tone of our VQ engine and sounds buzzy, if that makes sense. Maybe there is an issue with his installation or parts....don't really know. I do know that if you look at what is most prevalent on this site in terms of what people have MXP isn't one of the most sought after or spoken about exhausts.
No offense taken bro. The guy I bought my exhaust from took it off because he sad it was raspy with HFCs. I've thought about pairing some Tanabe mufflers with the Nismo catback on my wifes car, but I wouldn't drop that much coin without hearing them first in person. Internet videos are pretty much useless for comparing exhausts from what I've experienced. I'd like to hear a car with something similar to your set-up in person.

My car sounds pretty good, but I do think it could use a little bit more volume. The depth is spot on though. I'm saving up some "mad money" to buy the Tanabe mid pipe and Y-pipe. I think that will give me the volume I am looking for. If I had it to do over in all honesty I would have just bought the ARK GRiP system. It sounds incredible IMO. In a perfect world I'd have the GTHaus system. Thats a lot of coin for an exhaust though.
