So I am trying to buy a aftermarket hood for a coupe.

I have called all the aftermarket suppliers around, all they have instock are sedan hoods. Capa, non capa, what ever. They go from 200-400$. I search sites like ebay, only hoods for sedan. I searched in google with the OE part number, and just by typing in "infiniti g37 coupe hood". Only to have dealer oe hoods for $800, or aftermarket body kit carbon fiber hoods..

Is there really nothing made for the coupe? I have checked wreak yards, but they go for around 600-700.

I cannot buy from someone here because I need an actual invoice.

 

Not exactly sure what you're looking for... An aftermarket hood or OEM hood? There are not too many options for aftermarket hoods with the coupe. Top Secret, Seibon, VIS, and maybe a couple more and as for OEM it's just one option. Look at some of the site sponsors/vendors, they should have something. Hope that helps!

Sorry, should have said it clearer. Im looking for a replacement hood, thats like oem. But I don't want carbon fiber. I'm just wondering if they are even made for the coupe. Because no matter where I search on the internet, all I find are replacement hoods for sedans..

Has anyone ever painted a carbon fiber hood? I just don't like the design of the carbon fiber, I want to paint the hood to look like oem. I will be painting it obsidian black.

Would I need to sand the hood, or just spray the primer and paint on the carbon fiber? Would it look like oem? Thanks.
