Trade my 370 for new q60 or trade my BMW for used G coupe
I own a base 370z 2010 with 15000 miles. I also own a 2004 325 BMW CI. Both cars are useless for winter driving.
I was thinking of trading the Z for a new Q60 or keep the Z which I enjoy driving and purchasing a certified coupe and get rid of my BMW. I'll be out of pocket the same amount.
Does any one know the mark up on a certified coupe? I have been looking at 2012's for about $28000.00. The new coupes are discounted about 4000.00 off msrp from USAA car buying service.

With a nice winter tire set you should be able to get through the winters.
First if you buy a coupe new enough (which it will be if it's a Q60) you will assume the manufacturer warranty, pretty much makes "certified" useless. If you get a x model you will be fine in the snow, especially if you throw winter tires on it. You don't mention where you live and how severe the winters on. Regardless, I would get rid of the BMW.
The only thing worthless in winter are the drivers, not the cars.
Get a set of good winter tires and you'll be able to ENJOY driving in the snow.
With that said, if you're still itching to get a G, I would get rid of both cars and get the G, unless you really need 2 cars. The G and Z are essentially the same car underneath.

Your Accord is FWD I would imagine with not the same power to the wheels as a G. We put Blizzaks on our G and while it improved it a lot, it's not something we purposely would want to take out into the snow.
I dont know why anybody would want both a Z and a G. They are both awesome, but essentially the same car.
Also, if you're worried about snow capability, I suppose you could look for an xS model, but there are better overall cars for snow driving. Plenty of AWD cars about.

Your right about that Gman, the G is really not suited for winter weather, unless it's the X model.
Well I can tell you I ALMOST bought a WRX. The car drives and feels way more upscale then the old Subaru's. It was really nice, but couldn't pass up the deal on my G. I will say they hold their value really well and the new ones look really nice in my opinion.
