This is another old discussion. At any rate, frameless is best. Besides a classy, simplicity look, it eliminates those cheap, plastic frames you get from many dealers that should be thrown away the day you take possession of the car. It also prevents a silly redundancy when some owners buy a frame with the car’s name or logo that is as unnecessary as wearing a belt and suspenders.

I agree on the redundancy of having the make/model on the license plate frame.
Personally, I have a simple black metal frame around my vehicles. Subtle but I don't like the naked plate look.
