VIS IPL FG bumper

Hello Everyone,
I just received my IPL VIS replica FG bumper and started to have doubts if it worth the effort.
It's should replace 2010 bumper without fog lights.
Color is moonlight white QAA

I got it with no OEM grill, only mesh (Honda like....)
No parking sensors marks
No preparations for the headlights washers
No preparations for the 3X crashing sensors
It is as expected not flexible and it is super hard to mount it.
Expensive mounting & painting at the shop.

Please advice how did you install those, I'm sure you have better experience than me here.
How this kind of material is holding during time and fast driving on bad roads?

Picture attached is from the first tests.

The OEM grill should replace the upper mesh. it is indeed ugly.
I found 3 lower grilles in Ebay but with out fogs. any idea where can I order it beside ebay?

You probably wont hear from too many people who have bought these because most people realize that all the drawbacks from a replica make it worth the extra cost to buy OEM. Body work on the bumper to make it fit, working out imperfections, creating custom mounts, brackets, etc. and buying/finding all of the OEM inserts will easily spike the cost to or above OEM bumper cost. Hopefully it works out for you.

The person in the background of the OP's picture has the: "Why did I buy this bumper." look.

Did you at least get a good deal? Or did you contact the seller and tell them it has a lot of fitment issues?

Your going to spend a lot of $$$ getting this bumper to fit somewhat decent and getting it painted. You could have gotten the oem ipl bumper which fits perfect. However I wish you luck on getting this bumper to fit "Nicely"

This will turn into a horror story for sure, not t mention it will look entirely out of place as it sits lower than your current sides.

You should have done some research on the forums prior.

your best bet would have been to maybe have gone with a new Sport front to bring you current, but still have OEM and quality.

You will be starting over again a year from now or have something that looks like absolute garbage. If you haven't already started paying the shop to do the work you should try selling it and going sport, or buying a different color oem front from a vendor and having it painted.

OEM is the ONLY way.

Should have forked out the extra cash to buy the OEM one. Its $999 including paint and nothing fits better than OEM fitment.

VIS IPL installed after my OEM IPL got backed into without any note. fitment is not 100% but close, all you need is time and patience to work it out and you won't be needing your OEM side fender bumper bracket just use screws and nuts to tight it up with the fender.

Where did you find OEM IPL bumper for $1000?
I could not find less than $1800 with primer only...

What have you done with the inside items? accident sensors and headlights washers?
How do you deal with the paint absorption in the fiber? is it that bad as the warnings?

You can buy one new in a different color for 450, have it painted for 350 and install yourself. Should be able to do around 800.

Rock chips in this bumper will straight up take chunks out of it, not to mention if you ever bottom out it will crack.
