G37S Coupe VS My 2012 Corvette GS

I've had the 08 G37S coupe for a couple months now and, even though I still plan to reinstall the factory springs and go back to the factory size wheels and tires, I'm amazed at this car. I bought it for my wife to drive, but it's so much fun I drive it every chance I get.

I find it interesting that even though it's 300 lbs heavier than my 2012 Corvette Grand Sport, and 110/155 under the Vette in HP/TQ, the G37 feels much lighter on it's feet and more responsive! The tq disadvantage is obvious at any speed, but the G just feels lighter and quicker handling.

In it's current confguration i.e. lowered 1.5" with 20" wheels and 245/35 and 275/30 tires, I'm pretty sure it would hang with the Vette through most any high speed off ramp, and certainly in some tight twistys!

I love the Vette and wouldn't trade the beast for anything, but it's amazing how a car 300 lbs heavier can feel so much lighter!

How do you feel the steering response/handling is compared to the vette?

Also, where are you located? I may be interested in the springs.

The G is just a lot more nimble feeling. Just feels quicker and lighter as far as handling goes. Obviously instrumented test track numbers would likely tell a different story since the Vette has near 1g grip and very fast slalom speeds, but in my opinion, seat of the pants feel makes the G37 feel like it moves and turns more effortlessly!
In a straight line from any speed there is no comparison, but of course the Vette has a big power advantage!
As for the springs, they are H&R 53030 and I plan to have them removed probably in early August. I'm sure we could work out a deal if you want them! I'll likely keep the Eibach rear camber rods just so I have some adjustability. But, if the alignment shop says they're not needed I may pull those off and sell them too.
I'm in Southeast Washington State.

Nope, 6 speed grand Sport Vette, and 6 speed G37S coupe.
