4WAS problem
So, two weeks ago, the slip, vdc and 4was lights popped up and stayed on.

I dropped the car off at the mechanics for a full oil/fluid service, thinking that brakes were the cause.

Just received a call today, that the VDC (HICAS) unit is most likely the cause. Cost of replacement is 1100$ not including labour or tax.

I can't bring it to Nissan JP, they don't want to touch it because it's been modified

Anyone else had their 4was system go on them? My car's only got 40k kms on it...

Is it possible to remove the 4was system (ECU and mechanical parts) without the rest of the ECU's having a fit?

What types of modification have been done such that Nissan JP doesnt want to touch it? Unless the system itself has been modified it should be under warranty if you havent gone past the time frame of your warranty
