Got until the 27th to get to O'Reillys and get a 5qt. jug of Pennzoil Platinum w/ Wix filter for $34.99, you also get a $15 gift cards and if you click here
Fuel Rewards Network - DIFM-DIY Landing Page
You also get $1.00 off per gallon on your first fill up at participating Shell stations, so if you wait until you need 22 gallons it'll be free
Also you can get up to two $15 gift cards, so even at $22 it's still a nice buy, and Wix filters are pretty good.

Maryland gets the shaft, no O'Reillys! Although I just bought a 5qt jug of Platinum from Walmart for $25 and change. Has anyone noticed that PZ Ultra is getting hard to find?

I've noticed that as well, maybe Platinum is just selling so well that Ultra is being phased out The Blackstone data is real good for Platinum so I'm not paying more for Ultra.

I stocked up on Ultra last year as it was selling under the price of platinum for the 5qt jugs at Wally World. I literally had friends and relatives in surrounding areas pickup orders I had placed online for store pickup. A bit crazy, but I was getting it for something like $26.97 for each 5qt. ($2 more than PP) and the 1qt was $5.69

Platinum will do just fine, after reading up on the BITOG forums and after receiving some UOAs on my own oil..I have zero qualms about eventually using it. Unless you're auto crossing, seeing a lot of track time or going for those longer OCIs, then there's hardly any advantage to expending all that much effort to get the stuff like I did (although it's hard for me to pass on a good deal--slickdeals ruined me long ago).

Ultra is being phased out and replaced with 'Pennzoil Ultra Platinum™ Full Synthetic motor oil with PurePlus™ Technology' -- Gotta love the marketing minds at Shell Oil Products US

It will be interesting to see if their new formulations are even better than the original platinum/ultra product without the pureplus tech. All I've been seeing at Walmart lately is the new Platinum, but not the Ultra Platinum.

Not sure when this promo is over; one of their spring deals is $20 back in the form of a shell fuel discount with the shell fuel rewards network card.

Buy 5 qts of platinum or ultra and get $1/gal (up to 20 gals) off of shell fuel.

Save on Oil

I bought 2 1.25qt jugs from walmart.com, submitted the rebate online, after ~2 weeks, received 2 codes, each good for $1/off. Sweet deal!

Edit: Offer ends next 6/30/2014

Edit2: Promo, not porno!!!

That's why I said it comes out to a net of "free", w/ the $15 gift card combined w/ the $1 off for 20 gallons it's only tax that you're paying.
Always nice to get a little less screwed at the pump too

Oh, and thanks for the heads-up about being able to get two of the Shell reward deals, I just got another jug/filter tonight
I thought that was only a one time deal
