First oil change - switched to synthetic. And programmed a keyfob.

Just got the car a few months ago. Black G37S Coupe 6MT.

Visited my Infiniti dealership here in Las Vegas For the first time - Park Place Infiniti.

Mobil 1 Fully synthetic oil change, inspection, top all fluids etc was $69. To be honest, I was expecting the full synthetic oil change to be closer to $100. They also washed the car - did a great job.

I also had to have a remote programmed because my G only came with 1.

Here is the remote I bought. Uncut Infiniti G35 G37 Sedan Coupe Smart Key Keyless Remote Fob KR55WK48903 | eBay

The dealership charged $140 to program the remote, which was a little bit more than what I was expecting to pay. But whatever, at least now I have 2 functional remote keyfobs.

Car seems to rev slightly smoother now with the fully synthetic Mobil 1.

Tires are breaking free sooner now as well.

Haha no, they did a good job.

And besides, with the paint quality, I've given up on expecting to have a perfect paint job.

Be carful there..I won't let them wash my car..they have scratched my rims 3 times there so make sure you inspect your car and rims very closely...wish we had more than 1 dealer here in Vegas dislike taking my car there..

Ah, thanks for the heads up. Sorry to hear about that.

Did they scratch your wheels with the carwash machine or against a curb or what?

I figured I would get familiar with them. I like them so far.

Have you tried either of the Nissan dealerships for service?

Nope sure where they scratched them they can never give me a reason or how it happened..
I walk my car with the service person before and after now.
I have the maintenance plan only reason why I go there..once it up they will not see me again..they can't even put synthetic oil in my car I ask for it every time and get conventional oil put in...I'm having it out with them when I go in for service next week about it.

Damn, now I'm all sketchy about the place.

But I typically rarely ever go to the dealership. So I guess I will chance it.

Hope you get some resolution with them.

2010 with 21k miles.

I've never heard of not putting syn in Gs. Maybe when brand new for the break in period of the engine you are supposed to use regular dino oil. Not sure.

Friends, compatriots, colleagues. There's an important grammatical distinction you're missing here.

Can't, doesn't mean Shouldn't. It means they literally could not, for whatever reason. I'm interpreting this as standard dealership complaints. I interpret this as OP saying "the dealer is so incompetent, they CAN'T put in synthetic, despite me specifically asking." There is some merit to breaking in the motor with dino oil for the first few thousand miles, but that by no means that you Shouldn't put synthetic later on.

2011 ..I pulled up my scheduled maintenance history with them. Esther oil for the first few oil changes then they switched to Mobil 1. And the last 3 oil changes they have put in conventional oil even though I request synthetic before they take my car..
While everyone's experience with a dealer is different as yours might be I dislike the dealer once it changed to park place..nothing but a hassle

Well that's not cool of them. So, oil changes are included with your car at Park Place.

And you ask them to use fully synthetic and they still put in dino?

How could you tell? Was it on the work invoice, or did you see them use dino?

Do you have to pay a charge to get upgraded to fully synthetic?

I'm in Vegas as well in which I use to go to Park Place (previously named Tobin), but now I get all my service done at Planet Nissan in Centennial. With that, I was there last week getting my rotors turned, so they cleaned my car as well and when I got my car back, I noticed my license plate was bent out.......So of course the guy who gave me my car could barely speak any english, so he pulled it off and bent it back. Other then that, service there and at Park Place has always been good

I have the maintenance plan with them.
Every time I call I ask the to use synthetic.so my guess is it's not getting back to the tech doing the oil change.. I had the service rep pull up the service for my car and last 3 times were conventional oil..
Don't have to pay to upgrade the oil change guess they just decide to use whatever they want even though I request synthetic every time..like I said they use to use Mobil 1 in my car then they just decide to go to conventional oil without telling me..
I have never had a Good experience there I ask them to order parts a couple of times and they never get back to me..
Just like last time they couldn't rotate my tires because tech said they were different sizes..so i pull the service rep out and show hi same size all around what's the issue lazy tech! They had no response
Once my service plan Is over they will never see me again there!!
