So I was bored, had a can of clear coat and thought I would give this a shot. With that, it turned out pretty damn good and it looks so much better then it did before!

Considering so, I used a can of Dupi Color automotive clear, in which I cleaned the crap out of all three grills, masked off the front bumper around the grill and applied two light coats, followed by a third heavy coat.

The result: Glossy grills! But the pics dont do it justice though, hence it looks so much better in person!

I achieve the same results using Maguiar's quick detailer wax....amazing results too and the shine lasts several washes....Not a big fan of using those rubber/plastic products....

 

Pretty cool man. This seems like a good idea. Might protect the black from being faded by the sun.

 

Detail-er wax huh? Never thought of using that! The grill was severely faded from the sun, so the clear coat definitely brought it back to life. I was originally going to repaint and clear my rims, but decided against it.
