ABS vs. Fiberglass .... we'll see how this holds up in summer heat.

I ordered this spoiler and installed myself. Very happy with quality. Install was easy...just need to get some extra tape for middle of spoiler to stick to trunk as spoiler is bolted on both ends. Excellent paint match, great quality, excellent value.

I just propped the spoiler on the trunk and then eye balled it. If I were to do it again I would deffently make a quick template from cardboard.

How did you hookup the wiring for the LED light in the spoiler?

Under the trunk liner there is a factory location. Just slide the wires into the connector.

Maybe other years it became standard but my 08 didn't come with it from the factory.

It has never been standard. Always been an option. It might be standard on IPL, but not on S.

That my friend is called Camera Angle. Your statement would indicate the the spoiler would be off by at least an entire inch or more and at that point I would not even be able to see out of the pre-routed camera hole.

This is still not a dead center rear shot but the angle still changes.

Look how un-centered it is with the stock spoiler. How did that ever make it off the assembly line???

I also bought one from ebay, and its not as good as the oem one. The paint didn't match and was much lighter. My color is black obsidian. Also, the spoiler was bent a little in the middle so the spoiler looks a little "twisted"

I tried to talk to the guy who sold me the spoiler for a replacement. I told him I'd send him the one i had back and he would send me another one. He refused to do so and I was stuck with it but I didn't care since the spoiler was not OEM and was like 1/5 of the price. I installed it myself, which I would not buy it again though. Its off center, crooked, paint isnt that good, Oh and while Installing, I turned it over and laid it on the factory paint, the Spoiler itself is scratched terribly from moving around on the paint of the car, but there was not a scratch on my trunk. And as you all know, the factory paint is crap, so this tells you the paint on the spoiler was even crappier

Would it be possible to install the camera on the outside of the new spoiler? That way the chrome bezel would hide the edges of the cut-out.

Just a thought...
