exhaust sound!

Hey guys!
i need a little help and advise. I just recently installed full catback exhaust system by Ark performance. I have had it for about 2 weeks, and honestly not what i was expecting. I mean it is nice and could be loud at times, but I feel like it could be better and louder.
so what do you think by adding some FI HFCs should solve the problem?
and if so which ones? Resonated or regular?

Basically what i am trying to accomplish is to be heard coming down the block or if i pass someone by, they can say " man thats nice loud G".

BTW
Its a 2012 g37xs coupe, I have a stillen gen 3 intake and ark exhaust.

thanks guys

What they said...if you want it even louder go with Test Pipes (I'd suggest resonated test pipes). I have the MXP exhaust and resonated test pipes, but the fan favorite here is FI (Fast Intentions).

It's a CATback exhaust... so your stock Catalytic converters are still in place. You have no test pipes.

You need to remove your stock cats and replace them with Hi-flow cats or test pipes (I'd suggest resonated).

Is there a maximum amount of modification you can make to your exhaust before you encounter an obstacle(ie requiring a tune/check engine light)?

I was considering the FIRHFCs and the FICB, but I want to make sure I'm not setting myself up for an unexpected monetary expenditure.

I have the MXP catback exhaust with MXP Resonated Test Pipes - no CEL Plenty of people on here have done it - "it" being swapped their exhaust without a tune and not having to worry about the ECU throwing a CEL. Just do your research. Its all here.

alright, great input guys! i appreciate it!

last thing, I see some people love the FI Resonated HFCs and some love the MXP Resonated test pipes!

which one of these will sound pure love with the ark exhaust?

Keeping in mind that the FI Resonated HFCs is grantee no CEL, while the MXP im not too sure

Like I said, I have the MXP resonated test pipes with no CEL. These are all opinions here and the products you are comparing are all great quality. There are a number of exhaust combinations you can go with. You're going to have to take time, continue your research, listen to some youtube videos and clips, when its warmer perhaps hit a few meets, and at some point ultimately take the plunge and hope for the best. There are no guarantees here. When I did my research a lot of people said the MXP exhaust alone was pretty loud. I found that it wasn't loud enough for me. A lot of people also said the exhaust with test pipes would be too loud and raspy. I decided to go with them anyway and I absolutely love them!!!

There is a degree of trial and error here. If you pick something and don't like it, you can always put it up on the private classifieds, take a small hit and go for something else.

My suggestion to you is to go with the exhaust you want first and see if you like it with the stock cats. Then go back and add HFCs or TPs after you are certain you are happy with the exhaust you chose.

Good luck!
