Infiniti is starting to stand for "Infinitely" stoopid executives. Bring out a brand new replacement for the car that MADE a name for Infiniti, change the naming nomenclature from what all the world knows as "G" sedan to "Q", then realize that the "G" sedan is much more engrained in the minds of auto enthusiasts, so then decide to continue to sell the "G" sedan along side the new "Q" sedan. Ohh, but NOT before then deciding to sell the current "G" coupe design along side the new "Q" sedan, but rename it "Q60" and add a tacky 3.7 fender label and rear trunk AWD label to the coupe to make it look... umm "authentically" new??? Umm, NO.

I love my "G" but these dudes at Inifiniti need to get a CLUE! GOOD FREAKIN' GRIEF!!!!!

 

Headlights needs improvement it looks very cheap and to be honest I can't see anything different from the current coupe. Even the tail lights are the same a lot of badges that are not even necessary major fail. Infiniti please keep it simple make it classy again.

 

How many of you guys bought the G Coupe because of its name? I know I didn't.

There was a whole press release explaining the logical reasons behind the model name changes. The G sedan is a profitable model, why kill it? The Q50 is a whole different car in terms of design, size and quality.

 

I sort of agree with what you are saying, but I believe the stats for size/dimension/weight are incredibly similar between 2013 G Sedan and 2014 Q50. The base Q50 is actually lighter than a base G sedan. The wheelbases are identical in length, and other dimensions very similar.

No need. Just imagine a G37X coupe 4 wheeling with a 3.7 badge on the front fenders and Q60s bage on one side on the trunk and AWD badge on the other.

Do my eyes deceive me, or is that a ****** below the navigation screen on the interior in the last picture. Don't Q-50/60 have TWO screens and no ****?

Am I incorrect? Is this literally just a G37 that has been rebadged?

You are correct, the coupe won't get officially "Q'd" until 2016 I believe or maybe as early as 2015, so now it is just a rebadged G.
