Oem Spoiler from www.Newegg.com?

I have been shopping been looking for the spoiler with the light in the middle of it for my VR 2008 coupe(Currently have the chrome spoiler). I recently found one on Newegg.com - Computer Parts, Laptops, Electronics, and More! (Infiniti G37 Spoiler 2dr (Factory) A54 Vibrant Red - Newegg.com). They seem to have it in every color and varieties. Has anyone ever purchased this piece from newegg before? Im just a little skeptical because newegg is more of a computer/electronic store. Any opinions if I should order this from them and is the price ok?

I can't speak to buying spoilers from them, but I have bought auto parts from them twice and got exactly what was advertised.

You're not really buying from newegg. Notice how the seller is actually spoilersforless.com It's just like buying from merchants on amazon.

Thank you Betty. Would this be a hard install with the brake light/backup camera?

I also would like to know if it has the backup camera cutout, for that price I would consider one if it does.

Get it and let us know! Some people call me cheap, but I say I am financially efficient.

Not oem. OEM spoilers are fiberglass not plastic. There are some oem spoilers listed on EBAY for $125, some are white and some are silver. I took a chance that the silver would match my car and got lucky. The color is actually amethyst graphite, which matches my car. I figured even if I had to paint it I would be money ahead, compared to the 560 dollar list price. I bought oem after reading the opinions of some of the buyers of the plastic spoilers on this and other forums.

OEM spoilers are plastic, unless the coupe is different. My OEM front chin spoiler and 2 rear spoilers have been plastic. I know this for sure because one of my spoilers came cracked
Not saying the one listed in the above ad is OEM however.

I cut out the camera hole on this spoiler, it is definitely fiberglass. Also definitely OEM. I checked with the local Infiniti dealer before I bought it, and they told me OEM spoilers are fiberglass. Might be different for sedan, coupe spoiler is definitely not plastic. OEM spoiler should come with all hardware, wiring harness, and new struts for the trunklid. Just my experience, I don't want to argue abouit who's right and who's wrong. Take it for what it's worth.

Sounds like that spoiler has a lot more going on than the sedan, mine didn't have any struts (and no wiring req'd for mine) so it could very well be a different composition.

Just to update. I ended up purchasing this for $170. After payment, seller emailed me asking if I had the camera or not. I told him I did so he shipped me a camera cutout spoiler. It came right on time, fit just about perfectly, only had to drill 2 holes.
The only things about it is the camera is not mounted on anything. It moves around loosely and does not sit right causing the view to be a little bit more towards the ground but still useable.(Wondering if anyone else had this problem?) Also, the paint matching is not PERFECT but it is almost on point. Probably because my car us an 08. Id say the paint matching was 9/10 and would not affect me buying this part even if I knew this before hand.

There is almost no way that the link is pointing to an OEM spoiler. It may be made of the same material, though. If you go to the website spoilersforless.com, you will see that they sell a lot of different spoilers for different cars. They are listed as being "factory style". Also, note that the Newegg.com link indicates a 3-year manufacturer's warranty. The warranty is being provided by spoilersforless.com, not by Nissan/Infiniti.

I never said the link for newegg or spoilers for less were for an oem spoiler. If you read the whole thread you'll see that I said I bought my spoiler off of EBAY. There is another thread where I provided pictures of the OEM spoiler I bought. I'm smart enough to know the difference between OEM and OEM 'style' Don't quote me as being wrong unless you're right. Search (Is this oem?) and read the ENTIRE thread.

Ouch. Such unnecessary hostility. The main reason I made that post was to ensure that no one bought a spoiler from Newegg expecting it to be OEM, since the original poster titled the thread "Oem Spoiler from www.Newegg.com?", indicating that he/she was unsure of whether or not the spoiler was OEM.

I understand that I quoted you out of context. But can you understand how someone who was skimming over the thread, who only read the second post you made, believe you were referring to the Newegg spoiler when you made the post? No need to reply with such hostility when someone is just trying to help other people.
