Dealer messed up Infiniti accessory spoiler on a '13 coupe? Opinions?

Dealer has tried 2 different infiniti accessory spoilers on a '13 coupe and neither fit worth a darn.

They say the holes are drilled correctly and it does appear to be centered, but the driver's side from the middle out to the edge the 3m tape doesn't even contact the painted body surface. On the outside edge , you cann't really even push down hard enough to make the end contact the trunk lid.

They tried a second one and now it's not fitting correctly between the center and outside edges.

Anyone have any ideas on this? Neither one is acceptable in any way and I think the spoiler makes the back of the car.

That's odd...An OEM piece should have good fitment. All I can say is keep trying or look else where for a spoiler. They do make replica ones that might fit better in your case

What's strange is the underside of the spoiler facing down to the bumper fits as flush as it can be basically from one edge to the other.

Would it be asking too much for a couple of angle pics? ends and the edge that faces the rear window? They have tried two on this car now and I am not feeling really warm and fuzzy about signing for the car and driving off with this.

Here's what the first one looked like, and after *I* called it to their attention I was told by the service mgr (been a really nice good guy with me on other g37's I've had), 'yeah that took him about twice as long as it should have and he really struggled with it. he's a master tech too'

This is what I saw when I went to inspect it before taking delivery of my new car, they tried another today and got different but (according to mr. svc mgr), still not very good results. 'we'd like you to look at it and see what you think'.

This was the first attempt, even with all my weight on my hand I could barely make the edge go down where it needed to be.

Yeah, that's no good .... hope the dealer isn't telling you it will have to do. Remember, they have drilled the holes so there is no turning back unless they get it right or replace the trunk. Good luck man ....

Well that car has also a paint defect on the roof and they took it back, that was in addition to the spoiler problem.

I'm picking up the new car now and am waiting a week before we try a brand new ordered spoiler. They did try a second one on that car and fit better except the areas between the center and edges didn't stay down very well.
