Driving with IPL Front bumper inside your G37 Coupe

Is it possible to drive with a IPL front bumper in your coupe w/o passengers? I can't be the first one who thought about it!

Thanks!

Id think so. I've fit a rear bumper in there before. Just stuck through the moon roof.

Home Depot rents truck for like 20$. I'd rather do that than risk scuffing up the interior or the bumper itself.

Anybody has a picture of G with the bumper sticking out? LOL

Renting a truck sounds logical but I may have to drive long distance and would have to pay for the mileage.

Don't think the Home Depot truck has mileage charge. As long as you're finished in 75minutes. Anything more than that I'm not sure how much extra.

Flip the seat down and pass it through the trunk.
Forget what the onlookers think

A 08-10 sport bumper will fit in the coupe with the rear seat folded down. place the bumper into the trunk with the license plate side facing down, move it around a bit, open your sunroof if necessary a bit.

Why not swap the covers on the spot and drive with your stock cover in the G. Should fit better than the IPL since its slightly smaller and you wont risk damaging an expensive part. It takes 10 minutes to swap out. Thats what I'd do.

That's something I'll look into. I didn't know it takes that short to swap the bumper.

If that's not an option, how much of the bumper does it stick out? I may have to drive 2-3 hours. Thanks.

I did it few times, rAiN did it, Mike did it.... just have the back seat down, front right seat all the way up and make sure you have some bubble wrap or cloth (more is always better) to cover the bumper at the trunk area.... just in case when you close it, you might damage it.

Thanks for the info. This idea might be little extreme but have you thought about taking the passenger seat out for more space?
