Regarding horsepower, I would speak with Forged Performance Performance Parts Installation

I am pretty sure the turbo/supercharger option is not just a bolt on, the PCM needs a reflash.

Regarding airbags, they replace the springs you can trim your ride height. Lower it when parked. Medium low on smooth roads, and raise it to avoid hitting obstructions. You replace all four springs and add piping, a compressor, and an air tank.

A set of forged wheels, tires and springs. Trust me once you buy a set of high-end wheels, HRE/Forgeline, you'll never go back! Let me know I have a great vendor! I own a set of HREs for my TT-350Z and my Forgelines are shipping right now.

what are you looking for? performance? looks? better drivability? standing out? 7k can be spent relatively quickly on our cars. my advice is to start with one part at a time so you don't get bored with your car rather than dumping it all in at once, especially if you are not sure what you are looking for.

I wouldn't touch performance since it sounds like you, and don't take this disrecpectfuly, don't have the skills to drive the car in it current state to full potential. If that is true and you want better performance consider taking a HPDE driving course. Once you master driving it in it's OEM state than consider performance/power upgrades. Other I still stand behind a set of HRE/Forgeline wheels, tires and springs.

He basically said he's mostly interested in performance mods. What makes you say he doesn't have the skills to drive the car to it's "full potential"? That's pretty much 99% of the people on here included myself because this is not a track car.

I'd say..basic bolt on + tune and a few cosmetic/suspension mods and save the rest if you have any left over. And do it slowly like someone else said so you don't get bored really fast. FI can add up insanely quick. Especially is this is your DD I'd think twice.

Do you have an opinion on the best intake/exhaust combo? I like the sound of the FI exhaust but not sure what intake would go with it, or if other exhausts are better.

stillen gen3 has been shown to offer the most HP gains, but requires the most work to install. K&N drop in filters are the cheapest route to go. HKS, ARK, Invidia, and FI are the most popular for our cars. Look on you tube for what would fit you best or go to a meet in your area to check them out in person. you don't seem like the DIY type for installing these mods so do a lot of research. any shop you go to and say you have 7k to spend will take it from you and then some really quickly if you are not sure what you want to do or what parts you want to get. in my opinion why don't you start off with getting a set of sway bars and some tint, and go from there. go to car meets in your area to find a good reliable shop to work with to get to the goals/mods you want.

What to buy...

HKS high power exhaust (sounds cool), KWV3 coil-overs (looks cool) & Hotchkis sway bars (handles cool)...

These first three mods will go a long way toward transforming your ride for the better and leave about $3,000 for new wheels and rubber -- depending on how expensive your taste in wheels is.

My $0.02,

I just spent $3000 on my 2013 G37xS coupe. I went with Ark exhaust, berk test pipes, changed the front headlights to 8k and the fogs to 6k along with the signals and bulb next to the headlight, bright license plate bulb, full led interior, tinted windows, tinted taillights, vynal on the roof, final on chrome piece on the trunk, vynal on the rear diffuser, mirrors, and front bumper. If I were to spend another $4000 I would probably get some new wheels, a tune, intakes, drop the car and that's about it. That's just me!
