I had my roof on my 03 G Coupe done with a Gloss Black Overlay and absolutely loved it.

I plan on doing the same with my Graphite Shadow G in a few weeks.

I think it looks ok. I love the way cars look that actually have a dark glass roof, and it has the advantage of protecting the paint on the roof of your car from the elements. The down side is that it may actually make your car a little hotter in the summertime, depending on the color. Not something I would do personally for that reason. I would like to get a black overlay for the front lower lip on mine.

True, I think the dark gunmetal wheels will compliment the black roof nicely.

So the only reason you wouldn't overlay the roof is because it gets hotter in the summer?

What's wrong with the roof getting hotter? The window tints should block out most of the sunlight anyway.

Looks good but you also have black wheels to match it. I'm getting gunmetal so I guess it's close enough?

Is your g now also a coupe?

having a hotter roof also makes the interior hotter. It's not a problem when the car is running and the ac is on, but after being in the hot sun all day with 110 degree summers, it makes it unbearable for a while until the ac does its thing.

Ahh gotcha. Luckily summers here in Canada don't get too hot so shouldn't be a problem. If I was in your location though I'd probably be willing to sacrifice the extra heat to improve the cars look lol.

Thanks bud, looks like everyone here is giving it the seal of approval. Glad it wasn't wasted money/time.
