Anyone Have Headrest Monitors installed?

In the spring I'll be looking to install headrest monitors into my coupe. I will be also adding the Kenwood carportal, DVD changer, Alpine RUXc800 and DHA800 processor. I wanted to see if anyone had pics, looking to install Kenwood LZ or Alpine Monitors.

You might as well install DVD monitors in your pockets.

I could definitely be wrong...I have been in the past but...

I'm assuming your car is a coupe because this was posted in the "coupe" section...

I don't think you'll get much of a response if any at all because this mod doesn't make much sense. Who is going to see them?? who is going to be in the back seat??

...and how visible are your head rests from outside the vehicle? Sounds like a waste of money to me...but to each his own, especially if your built like that with cash to burn...if you go through with it PLEASE post pics...I coulllllld be wrong so I would love to see how it turns out.

What gave away that his car is a coupe, that it was posted in the coupe section or when he stated "in my coupe"?

But to answer your question, I highly doubt someone has done it, but as stated above it really makes no sense, only if you have a full car at times (kids etc...)

Head rests are kind of small...who's going to sit there besides kids?

Honestly, it makes a lot more sense to just install ipad rear seat mounts.

Yes it is a coupe and I am looking to do it if I decide to have my IPL as a full time car. I have a QX4 with full audio / video system and my daughter loves watching movies. I am just seeing if anyone has done it and how it looks but I may have to be the first

I definately will. I do installations on the side but this project will be done by my friend who has a shop here in MD, does awesome work. Since this will be tying into the factory nav I am a little hesitant about doing it. I have 90% of components need to get the Alpine processor and sub. I plan on putting the Alpine controller below ac controls which will be molded flush I hope if there is enough trim to work with. Another member here mounted an AVN7000 below there on a 09/10 coupe 6mt. Looked great! The controller is barely a 1/2 din size.

There is DIY about this wire on the forum. Just to let u know you are going to have to take the NAV screen out because the wire is in the factory harness. Take it to a good stereo guy they will know what to do
