^^^ this might be one of the reasons why so many people get rear-ended. Last time I checked green is the color that means GO, yellow...not so much, and RED, you better not be moving anymore...

Of course there are excruciating circumstances, like when we are already so close to the traffic light and it turns yellow, then yeah, don't just slam on the breaks and expect not to end up with a total face reconfiguration by your steering wheel, especially when exiting a freeway...

Exactly.

well here in FL, yellow lights are long... and these elderly people tend to lock'em up at the first sight of a yellow even if they're 10ft from the stop line... so I can understand what happened to the OP because I've been there (just not crashed)

Hey BlueBert

What was the outcome? Did they total it? What was the total repair estimate?

I'm wondering because I was in an accident a few days ago, except mine looks a little worse than yours... expcept mine drives fine.. drove 3 miles home, only problem was the wheel well cover was rubbing the wheel and making noise.

I don't mean to thread jack... I just want to gague the cost.. impatient for the the adjuster.

@g37sam - I was exiting the freeway and made a right. The next street light was probably 3 car distances away and right as I turned, the light turned yellow and the car infront of me made a hard stop right when it turned yellow instead of going. I tried to dodge the car, but clipped his left side.
Damn , hope ya alright... I srsly hate Peopel doign that!!!! It happen to me too, but I dodge it... they just slam on the brakes as soon as it turn yellow,,, so retarded..

In Phoenix most people run the yellow lights, except the snow bird season. Then you constantly drive 10 under and slam the brakes..

Glad you weren't injured, and sorry about your G
