Have my moonlight white delete ready to go on my new coupe when I pick her up today. Also did it on my 11 silver coupe the same way the OP did it. The thought of using a screwdriver near the paint makes me cringe.

I did mine this last weekend.. used a very small flat head screwdriver and a towel to prop the handle out and got to the tip of the clips and out it came.. tricky part was putting the new one back just make sure the back part is in good then snap it in... no scratches nada... clean mod in less than 5min...
If your that nervous just mask the area off and done..
OC Infiniti is where I got mine was $28 shipped...

I don't think anyone will notice this mod except for the owner of the car.

I always wondered if your battery ever dies how do you guys get into the car? I'm guessing only option would be to open the trunk with key then pull the seat lever then crawl through there.

I already had one Die Hard battery completely crap out on me while I was pulling into a mall parking spot. The battery was a year and a half old. No juice left whatever. No forewarning on a bad battery either.

I manually locked the door and went to the Sears in the mall to get a new battery. The vehicle charging system checked out OK.

I will never go without a key entry into the car. I do not have a key slot for my trunk either.
