Looks good. I'm kinda scared to do mine because had my battery die out once and I couldn't get in. So had to use the key.

That's a good point, considering that many of us have had battery issues.

Looks nice Sarah. Love mine.

You can order it from your dealership. If you're battery does die, its very quick and easy to pop off the cover and gain access to the key hole.

how can you go so long letting your battery die? There's a dash indicator that tell you your battery is dying!!

Gotta do this also. How much do these typically cost?

The voltage gauge tells you voltage, not Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) which is more important to starting a car.

True, the cover would be very easy to pop off to gain access to the old keyhole.

I've had the keyhole delete since they were available.

I learned by experience that when the car battery starts dying, you will still be able to get into the car, but then find that the motor won't crank. That will force you into getting a new car battery.

The in dash monitor tells you when the ikey battery gets low ... so if you get locked out because of a dead ikey ... well ... you kinda deserve it.

In short ... it is difficult get locked out.

There were many factors to this. If you have the 08 model like I do. You should know that it had TSB for the battery and VCM valve. My car battery died one night and I couldn't get in the car with out having it unlocked with a key. Granted you can just pop it off but I rather not take the risk of damaging something.

I think these battery last a long time. I had to use my spare key with the original battery from when i first bought the car and still can get in and start up for the whole day.
