I Need Some Advice...
So I was ready to sign the papers and throw my down payment on a mint '08 G37S Coupe with 26K miles, yesterday... but then i did some last minute searching/started having second thoughts.
I found a 2007 BMW 335i Coupe (twin-turbocharged inline-6) with 45K miles.
Both are the same color, both have clear titles. In fact, the G37S was a company car, so I know it was maintained at the dealership religiously, it says so on the carfax.
The BMW had a clear carfax as well, 2 previous owners.
What I am most concerned about are the fuel pump issues and traction control issues on the BMW, and the issues on the G37S that I have found.
It basically comes down to "pick your poison." So I was just curious on what this community had to say on the issue.
Thanks in advance!

Every car has it's own sets of issues no matter what you look at. Warranty is your friend. Test drive both and decide on what you like more. Also, company cars may be abused a little more because they are company cars. No one owns it so no one cares. Just a thought.

i thought about how i drove my company car, and it kinda made me cringe too, but the mileage is still low so i wasn't too worried about going for it...
i am also looking at an '07 Jaguar XK. Jaguars have been in my family for years, they have sentimental value to me. Plus, I know what I'm getting myself into if I bought another one. And from what I've read up on about the G37 and 335i's, the grass is a little greener on the Jaguar's side, lol. So now i'm considering buying a newer Jaguar as well.
When I was looking at my car, a lot of my decision was actually based on the dealerships I went to. I went to Infiniti and they were very helpful, answered all my questions, and showed me respect while I was there. When I went to the BMW dealership, they did not want to help, were very arrogant, and I ended up walking out.
With that being said I ended up picking up my Infinti, from a pre-owned dealership (as the actual Infinti dealership couldn't locate one with the specs I wanted)

i got a G37s 09 and 2011 335Ci individual BMW sucks so bad...
Limp mode if you slip or speed for too long, HPFP failure is a common thing changing is like servicing your G37 (changing oil/filters etc.) not as comfy more expensive to maintain and lets just not forget it's not a JDM xD im selling mine once the G's repairs are over and the car's finally out of the workshop.. trust me stick with the G or find another car 335ci is not a very good option

i found the articles about the fuel pump comical, much like i found the articles regarding the revving up when slowing down and launching into cars/walls with the G37S...
apparently my two options are to either go through an obstacle involuntarily OR break down before i get to said obstacle...

having said that, i've always had a soft spot in my heart for japanese imports. I'm just now stepping out of a '98 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4.

Both are beautiful but I would pick the G; less miles and a year older... And oh yeah, sadly the 335 Coupe looks like any other 3-series Coupe. Wouldn't pay that amount to drive next to tons of the same car lol!
Of course you’re going get slated results from Infiniti owners on this site, but putting that aside, the BMW just doesn’t have a reliability record, according to Consumer Reports for example, that Infiniti enjoys. So I too would pick the G.
