Had a recent accident in my G, my car was parked and another driver's truck reversed into the front of my G and cracked my front bumper. His insurance is taking full liability, and I currently drive a 2008 Infiniti G37s and I want to see how I can go about getting a newer bumper with fog light inserts through the body shop I'm going through. Should I ask them to order the bumper that has the inserts, and is there a specific one that I should order to make sure it fits on my car? Any advice would be more than helpful, thank you.

 

I'm assuming this is a coupe. The insurance will write up an estimate and you can do whatever you want with the check they give you. Do some research and have the bodyshop order any 2012 bumper. I think they all have fogs and I know they all fit.

 

well the insurance gave me an estimate and told me I was free to take it to any body shop and have them work off the estimate. When i mentioned putting a 2011 front bumper to the guy at the body shop, he said it'll be difficult because he doesn't know if the bumper will fit.

 

2008-2010 Sport bumpers, and 2011-2012 non-sport bumpers are the same.
They do not come with inserts, whether blanks or fog inserts.

If you do a 2011-2012 Sport or IPL bumper they come with fog inserts.
You will still need to buy the fogs.

The insurance will pay for a front bumper ~$350, ~$300 for paint and ~$200 labor.

You will also need a new slim washer tank ~$100, fog bracket inserts ~$300, and fog lights, best price Amazon ~$100.

Best bet, take the check, pay the difference for the IPL painted bumper (if they have your color) Buy the slim washer tank, and fog lights, install it yourself.

 

2008-2012 all have the same mounting points, they will all interchange.

How much is the IPL painted bumper? I'm fine with paying the difference for the fogs, because I was planning on getting this bumper before the accident happened. Just trying to save a little money since I'm getting the bumper replaced anyway. Idk if I'd be able to the install myself, i was hoping the body shop would take care of the washer tank, and bumper, and i'd pay the difference for the inserts and fogs.

With the price of the OEM bumper now you do know you can pretty much get any bumper you want with the monies insurance will pay out.
I'd get creative and use the opportunity to make your car beautiful!

The IPL bumper in Black is $1500 now. Comes with fog mounts, youll need the slim washer tank and fog lights.

If you go back with the S bumper, let me know, Im selling the OEM fog brackets that will fit the 2008-2010 sport and 20111-2012 non sport.

That's the ipl bumper, might as well get the expensive one if it's on their dime. You can call your local dealer to get the part numbers or everything you'll need.
A body shop can also access the information.
2011-2012 Infiniti IPL coupe front facia w/ fog lamps.

The 2011-2012 OEM sport front facia has fog lamps as well, so whichever style you like best will work. but like what TVPost said, you'll need the brackets.

Any OEM G37 front facia 08-12 will fit your 08 without issues
