trunk wont open

HI guys I was replacing my cabin air filter and the bulb in the glove compartment but in the process my trunk switch in the glove box broke and now my trunk wont open with the remote or by pressing the button on the trunk and also with the driver side trunk release button the trunk wont open so what do I do? Do I just replace the switch or do I have to do something else?

have a look at the trunk switch connectors if they've snapped its a fail safe so that no one can open your trunk without pressing the switch youll have to take it the switch off and reconnect it, if that doesn't work follow the wires running into the switch as far as you can and check for any breaks in the circuit or if you have a volt meter on hand take the connector off of the switch and check to see any resistance

But if you need to open the trunk, in the rear seat in the middle between the upper and lower part of the seat, reach in, there is a red tag you can pull to open the trunk. it's very hidden. SO if you can't reach or see it, take the bottom seats out.

Thx for the tip I'll keep that in mind if it doesn't open after replacing the switch.
