What is this?

I was washing my car today when I noticed this on my front right (right if you're facing the car) mini grill thing whatever it's called on my bumper. Anyone have any idea what it is? It looks like a clip went into the actual slot, but also looks like something was screwed into the thing behind it. My car is an 08 used coupe.

OOOOHHHHH tow hook??? That makes sense. You think I'd be able to find the OEM clip for that on a parts website?

Maybe. Im not sure since the car came with it. The way its set up on my car is that a clip covered that section so I'd check and see if the corner of part of your lower grill thing on your bumper comes out.

You definitely have a place for the tow hook. It is usually covered with a circular piece that makes it blend in with the grill.
