Infiniti just put my steering wheel on wrong!!
so took it to the shop to get my new steering wheel put on under the warranty,
Got it back and the wheel was not centered. find out like two days later when i actually saw it. So got a email to write a review and i put the truth about my experience there and got a call from the service advisor that was helping at the shop and said that i should of not wrote the bad review because it affects his pay, and should of let him know there. All i got to say i will not be going back there no more and for him to call me and tell me that, He can #$#$ OFF!

Did you even let them try and fix it before writing the bad review?
Yes, if you install the steering wheel it can and will be slightly off center and it can be fixed with a simple alignment.

U should've called first to see what they could do first. If they offer no solution then a neg review would be the appropriate move to make next.
Having said that, the service advisor should not make this about him by telling you not to write a bad review and how it affects his pay.

JOHNNYG37S2008:
as i agree that they should have test driven your car, and made sure their work is 100% spot on, but lets agree that humans make mistakes.
take a look at what the steering wheel sits on. if you miss it by one tooth, its gonna be off and a little turned either way. you have to agree that with that many teeth, its tough to be perfect. total human error.

you should have just called and asked for them to make that adjustment. they wouldnt have charged you anything- and it would have taken no more than 20-30mins. no one is perfect, and just because you bought a high-class car, doesnt mean the mechanics are better, more careful, or robots by any means.

Why would you write a bad review about the work before even telling them it was wrong and giving them a chance to fix it? Good luck if you ever need that service department to do you a favor in the future.
The G37 doesn't use this method. Anytime you take off the G's steering wheel, you must secure the back plate from rotating with tape. That's how I did it and worked just fine.
Uhhh, yeah, what these guys said.
First of all, there have been people TURNED DOWN from getting a new steering wheel.
Second, is this really worth getting that upset about? It's not like they did something to permanently damage your car. It's easy for them to fix, and you just need to ask.
If I were the dealership, I'd tell you to go take a hike.

i have never heard of a steering wheel held on by tape.
That backing plate he's talking about houses the airbag wiring harness so it doesn't curl up while turning the steering wheel. The steering wheels will still need to hook back into the splines/teeth.
and the splines is what i was talking about. if its off by 1 tooth, its gonna steer in either directions. idk why he even brought up the "backing plate".
