Why do people say the G37 is not a really manly car?

i actually kind of agreeon the girls part
i must see 5 or so of these a day mostly girls driving them =>
i bought it because of luxury and looks great with some nice wheels
performance wise it falls way short of most sports cars, but again i didnt buy it for that,

way short? ..... I don't think so, 0-60 in 5.3 is pretty fast. Are there others quicker, sure, but WAY quicker? Yeah Godzilla is and a high end Vette is but most "sports cars" the average Joe can afford (most can't afford a GTR or Vette) are just slightly quicker.

Maybe it has something to do with the mild stock exhaust tone. I heard it called girly a couple of times when I first bought the car in 09. I haven't heard it since...and I doubt anyone who saw my car now would call it a woman's car. I get mucho complements from guys all the time. My wife had said it a couple of times, but she was trying to get me to let her drive it. I never thought of it as a girly car and still don't. It's roomier than most coupes and sedans and drives like a big car IMO...I'd stack my car up against any so called man's car any day!
In my area you don't see many G's although lately I have seen more...most times it's a guy driving tho...and most times they are stock.

my last car was a evo x we ran consistantly 12.40s @ 109 fully weighted off pump gas with minor bolt ons. i also did time courses at sebring and road atlanta with it
the car before that was a fully built wrx that ran 12.80s big turbo intercooller, injectors, etc etc.
then a couple subaru svx's "not all that quik" mid 14s at best but a very rare car at that
now going to a heavy g37 coupe that runs 14 flat at best its on the slow side and heavy to boot,
i bought the g37 mainly for the luxury and style and also so my wife can drive it time to time,
the comfortable ride, luxury features, reliability are great in this car but to think g37 is some sort of sports car killer is some what of a joke, new mustang gt's, evo x, sti's, bmw 335i, lexus isf, camaro ss, etc etc beat us pretty easily but again there not a luxury car

I also bought mine because it looks nice, some luxury, and it's a 6MT coupe.
What I don't agree on is how some people think that because they've seen girls driving a certain car, it then makes it a girly car. I have seen girls and older ladies driving big SUVs, pickup trucks (F150s, F250s, Tundras), Mustangs, Corvettes, and even a Porsche Carrera GT... Does that make those vehicles "girly cars"? I sure hope not!

Never said it was ...1/4 mile times are not realistic other than on the track. Most DD encounters will be of the 0-60 variety ..... the G37 is a GT car. Sure Infiniti could make it faster if they made it lighter, take out the luxury, etc .... that is not the intent of this vehicle. Just bugs me when people act like it's a dog.
Sure, there are other cars out there if one needs a ***** compensation vehicle.

Exactly why I got this car over a Mustang. I don't race everyday, well actually, almost never. I like the 2011+ GT, but just can't justify getting one with how little I actually race.

I find the G coupe extremely aesthetically pleasing to look at - and as such do not assign a gender to it. I mean it is looks and sounds like pure sex, but not in a feminine way at all. I am not sure if the G series was marketed more towards men or women. I would guess more towards men. The EX35 however was definitely marketed for women. Women like to ride up high in their vehicles, perhaps because most of them are shorter than men are? My wife did not care for the looks of the G at all when we were car shopping for her, but the EX35 really caught her eye and she had to have it.
