My New G37S Custom Grills & Lights!

(This is not a commercial)

I just bought my G37S coupe and the only thing I didn't like about it was the "S" front bumper and grill work. There were these two black plastic 'blocks' with fake grill molded onto them! Artistically - aside from looking stupid, they demanded 'something there'.

Here's my solution: I ripped out the plastic plugs and attached a pair of Hella 'halo' driving lights (using custom brackets to mount them back far enough). I then bought aluminum mesh, which I then cut and formed to shape around the lights. The whole thing cost me about $90.

What do you think???

Thanks. I thought about black - but then it would have looked basically stock from any distance. The black plastic has fake mesh molded onto it, so . . . But I suppose it's a taste thing. I tend to be edgier in my design taste.

Nice job... The only thing I would do is paint the mesh black.. The biggest fifference is yeah it's going to look like stock but yours is actually functional ...

That looks really well made. There is a huge contrast between the custom grilles and the oem grill but that's mainly because they are the same color.

Decent looking work but +1 on black. Silver reminds me of the billet grilles that I hate.

it looks ok, but if you intend on leaving everything chrome like your headlights and grill, then keep it. But if you're doing a drop, wheels, painted headlights etc........I say paint it black, or a gray cement color. Just my 0.02
