Congrats on the ride.

Go with the Michelin PSS in the 245 front 275 rear on stock S wheels.
I have no regrets.

Looking forward to some updates on those michelin tires (they're on my list eventually).

Question about your tie down locations; Is securing the car by the wheels a safe way to do so? I've never towed a car before, but have towed the bike a few times. Usually secured by several hard parts. Was the car left in neutral with the e brake set?
Thanks ... $27,900 was the deal, but it most definitely needed tires. There was 5/32's tread left all the way around, but they thumped and vibrated horribly. We had the Super Sports installed last night at Discount Tire and it rides like a brand new one. Got a great deal on the tires too.

There are no issues with strapping a car down in this fashion, but there are alot of opinions on this subject. IMO, it is best that the supsension is NOT loaded anyway. No, the car was in "Park" with the E-brake on. I have a drag car that I haul with this trailer and have not had issues. I have towed my race bikes in the past and and my Harley and have never had issues. I strap my bikes doen alot differently, however. The straps are Mac's Pro-Series and were a great investment. The straps for the wheels are 40" with a 36" sleeve of padding and microfiber sleeve.

GREAT FIND, especially in that condition!!
Thanks ... I don't understand the condition of these cars. How can people trash soooo many $45k cars? We found the same thing ... scratched steering wheels, door handles and rashed wheels. The one prior to buying this one that we looked at was nice outside, but had a rip in one seat, scrap in the other, three holes in one door panel and two holes in the other. The only thing that made sense was we think the previous owner had a dog. That car was a 2008 with 40k and had a re-sprayed bumper for the same money that we bought ours for ... it was even at an Infiniti dealership!

But seriously, congrats. I only clicked this thread because I was grossly misled by the title and wanted to see pics of the wife and "toy". Sadly, it was not what I was expecting.

Congrats on your wife & you for finding her such a nice car!
Yep ... '05 SUT. Actually, the Hummer was her pick too, but is my daily driver. I love it and actually makes a very, very comfortable "tow vehicle". I tow my drag car with it. Right before this trip I replaced the wheel hubs/bearings and, while I had it apart, replaced the CV axles. I drove like a different truck. It has 67k on it.

Thanks ... it is quite a nice find.

Here is the SUT ...

Nice, but we opted for the stock 225/45 & 245/40 sizes in the PSS's. The little we drove it last night, it was like a whole different car than with the RE050A's.
