I have never driven my G in the rain. I imagine this would freak me out as well. Good to know.

Not private anymore.

Yeah.. I never seen so much steam for an engine from just parked before.. no where near driven hard too haha

OK, after watching the video I reiterate this is exactly what I saw, only I was walking away from my car in the parking lot and when I looked I saw the steam. I will say it is the heaviest rain I have ever driven in.

Many years ago I had a Mazda 626 in which during long commutes (several hours) the A/C would stop blowing cold air and start blowing ambient temp. air. After fiddling with this for a while we discovered that the drain hose from the A/C difuser was pointed in such a way that the wind from the front would blow straight into it so the water trying to come out of the hose would stay inside until at a certain point it would start to freeze up and clog. Once you have enough ice around difuser it will of course stop working.

With this said, I strongly believe there is a cavity that gathers water during rain and after you stop it comes out and it must be hitting part of the exhaust system.
