Help!! ideas to increase Boost!! not TT or SC.

Hi there guys!! well, I bought my G37 08, in May this year, all cash!!! so now been saving to put some stuff in it. Well I dont really want to go for a T-Turbo or SuperCharger, cuz I dont really race. But OF course I want to gain some BOOST, so I have $2000 to spend, I want to get cat-back, and coilovers, but also, I was thinking to get a chip or headers. is there another thing not to expensive I can put on to get HP??sum help here please.

People refer to boost in an automotive context to typically mean forced induction which is turbocharging or supercharging. So when you title your thread that you want boost but not add a turbo or supercharger, people will think you don't have a clue or they'll be confused.

There's not much you can do to make this car noticeably faster with $2000. There's not chip for this car. Coilovers only make your car potentially faster through corners. Even then only if they're properly set and adjusted. Headers are not worth the money for the minimal useful gains. Cat-back exhaust alone will help a tiny bit.

The only way to get a slightly noticeable increase in speed, would be to add an intake, cat-back exhaust, and a competent engine tune. You'll get a bit of useable power, but not a lot. Good luck.

if you searching around here you'll find that people dont really view headers as being worth it. Im a new here but a lot of people like intake and exhaust unless theyre going Turbo or SC. Good Luck sir!

To add to BB's post, headers & TPs or HFCs definitely will give you gains, paired up with a catback of course Headers almost isn't even worth doing to our cars because of the amt of work it is to install.

Also, if you DO want gains, don't cheap up when it comes to quality parts. If you want quality, $2000- won't get you real far. I would recommend the following:

- Stillen Gen3 intake (about $500-)
- Fast Intentions Catback (about 1350)
and then go from there with cats...suspension...and whatever else you'd like~

The dyno just a tool to measures your gains. Engine tuning is manipulating the computer to work best with your modifications that you've made to the car. A tuner uses the dyno to see what's going on as he makes adjustments.

should've saved some of that cash you paid for the G and put it into performance mods because $2k won't get you far but it can get you a nice catback exhaust with a uprev tune! GL

I paid the car off cash rite away cuz thats the way I wanted to do it. I want things to be mine 100%, but NOW, the warranty expires a week ago, so now I'm ready to put stuff into it. it is just the way I want things.

2 grand won't get you anything significant. Try a lightweight pulley. They're cheap and even though they don't add power, they do make a difference. I haven't put mine on the G yet, but I've had them on previous vehicles and liked them.

Sprintbooster? It should at least make it feel more responsive.
