I totaled my G /cry

There is not much to say. I could tell the whole story but it would just depress me even more. I will keep it short.
I wanted a skyline since I was 14 (14 years ago)... I finally got one and now it is gone! So depressing; and all my fault. (No one else was hurt thank God!)

I was exiting a corner, not expecting frost since my outside temp gauge said 39, and lost the back end. Could not counter steer out as just after I caught good pavement, and then had too much momentum. I, by the grace of God, had my hood slide just UNDER a low sideways tree (about 2ft thick) and then, by the grace of God, caught a 1ft thick tree in the back just BEHIND me.

I am trying to buy back my baby from the insurance company. It seriously invokes tears thinking of her being crushed. At least if I have her she can live on in my Z31 and Max. Oh well, it was fun hanging with you all. I am not sure I have enough heart to try and look for another. Mine was perfect in every way; literally my dream car. I really do not think I want to replace it... I need a hug!

Here are a few pics. I have more if you care to see.

It took 2 tow trucks to pull her out of the ravine. When the second tow truck pulled up it almost slid into the first (about 8-10ft). Not much consolation but at least I felt like a slightly less stupid idiot...

when i read stories like this it makes me pretty sad. sorry to see such a beauty go. but in the end, a car is just metal, some leather, electronics and other unimportant materials in the big picture. you still being here after such an accident really proves how well built these cars are. From the pics it shows how dangerous this accident could have been. Solid car in my opinion.

very for your loss, hopefully you are able to keep it living in your memories. good luck, i know it must be difficult.

Those pictures look crazy! you're lucky to get out unharmed, sorry about the car, but hey, at least you are OK. second pic looks like your tires are kinda bald on the outside.

It stings now, but you won't even be thinking about it later on down the line. Although we love our cars, it really is unimportant when you put it into perspective. You are lucky to walk away unharmed in any serious way. In these situations I don't think death is bad (for your family members it would hurt, not you) but if you were permanently injured (paralyzed, lost limbs, etc). The accident did look pretty serious by the pictures. I agree that the G must be well built.

Sorry to hear about your accident, I too was involved in a pretty serious accident (total loss) about a month ago. Like davv said, time will heal you. This was a game changer, not a life changer. If this was your dream car, go get another one; why torture yourself? That's why we have insurance.

I really appreciate all the kind words. I was having a bad day today and it is cool to know people who do not even know you personally can care so much!

It is just a car... just makes it hard since cars are my biggest passion (aside from God, family, and people - of course). I am lucky and glad to have the Lord looking over me; and to have made the mistake in such a safe car!

Drive safe so you can continue to enjoy what you have been blessed with. Share love and help others in every way you can. Take it easy; God bless!

Damn you wrecked it good. Glad you are ok. I did a fairly similar thing to my G35 almost 4 years ago except another car was kinda involved but still totally my fault. Way to man up and admit it on the forum too.

its just a car...your life is more important.

glad the car held up good and you were able to walk away from it.

drive safe out there people... don't underestimate speed in a corner..most people cant get control of it after wagging the rear end WAY out.
