After reading this thread i have a few questions

Will my 60k - 4 year warranty

Re-aim my wind shield wiper spray
Fix/exchange my shifter **** (scratches on alum)
Fix/exchange my door sides the pannels of alum scratched up
Fix the curb rashes on my 19" sport rims?

I saw people getting it done not sure if its covered though.

If some one has a receipt invoice for free for ANY of these things PLEASE send me a copy i'd really like to get my rims treated etc and ill go buy some stuff off them like 100-200$ worth if they can do it lol.

Thanks! I'll forward that along if corporate gives me any static. Cars costing costing 40k+ shouldn't be doing this.

They replaced my shift ****. Can't say for sure about the others...I haven't had issues with them personally. For the wiper spray, I opted for the low-profile stock wipers b/c the replacements were way too huge.

They re-aimed mine (they called it cleaning on the paperwork but it was free)
Door pull handles - they told me no - but the dealer that I bought mine from got them to do it.
Shifter **** - I didnt ask but bought one on ebay for like $150.
rims - If I was them, i wouldn't do it. It is a bit silly for them to fix that. Good luck though!

Does anybody have a picture showing this issue to know what to watch for ?

Thanks.

I'll have to ask the " service consultant" about this when I go back to infiniti dealer.

Took my '08 in today to address the muffler rattle, steering wheel scratching/peeling and the seat bubble.

I just bought the car a couple of weeks ago and I guess the original warranty is now up and the extended warranty I purchased won't cover these items.

Out of good will, they replaced the muffler- however I still hear the same rattling. They are also going to 'repair' the steering wheel but will not replace. And they are checking with Infiniti on the seat (driver's side is the only one with an issue). Not holding my breath on the seat being fixed/replaced.

Big sigh...

Review what you paid for your car vs what you would have paid if it still had 2k in warranty... I'm sure you are not too bad off when put in perspective. Also - there is always the junkyard for seats if they are really that bad.

Update: Apparently I've taken too much care to avoid scraping all of the steering wheel finish off - corporate called today to inform me that they cannot override the warranty department's decision to deny the claim.
