Glad you are okay, If you can take a few days off works and have your next relaxed. If you have aftermarket parts I would take those off, most shops should let you do that before you say good buy. There appears there will be frame damage which means the car was fun while it lasted!
Thanks everyone. I'll post up what I hear from the adjuster later today but from some of your responses it sounds like I will be doing some car shopping this weekend.
Sorry to hear that. They total cars pretty easily seems like. None of you guys think it's fixable? Taking a second look, I'm sure you don't want to deal with the possibility of frame damage, but assuming there isn't... I guess you still wouldn't want it after this anyways. It hurts seeing the G beat up like that. Better the car than you.
Repairs are up to $18,200 and adjuster is paying body shop to perform tear down early next week to find additional hidden damage. At this point, I'm hoping there is enough hidden damage for Geico to total it

I'm thinking the same thing. So far, only a visual inspection has been completed and no assessment of impact to the structure or removal of body panels. I went to the body shop myself yesterday afternoon to take additional pictures and spoke with them. They are not willing to do too much to a car until the ins. co. tells them they will pay for the tear down. My adjuster said he is on the fence about whether to total the car and is going to pay the shop to take it apart. The threshold to total a car is higher than I would have expected. I was told it is 80% of the car's pre-crash value.
