Just lean to look in them. LOL I do that all the time, They dont lower?? Move your eyes man,, Next they want it to park it self.. Oh wait they have cars that do that.. I even think the back up camera is too much. I have been driving my car/ wifes car for the last year, Backed up my friends car the other day ( VW)- and almost forgot to tell how close I could get the the wall/ tree.. Cars make things so easy now cause we as a people have become lazy.. LOL sorry to go in a complete different direction with this. :/

You have to do a very little bit of soldering but pretty staright forward. I have one in my garage that I never opened or installed. Make me an offer.

Technology is there to make life easier so we can focus on other things. Imagine how much more you get done in a day or can get done in a day because you can go to mcdonalds and pay $3 for a full meal instead of hunting and gathering?
BTW I love the back up camera haha

It's called technological advancement. Would you rather go back and crap outside and wipe your **** with tree leaves?

I agree that technological advancement is there to make life easier. Would you really want to wash your clothes by hand? I don't think it's too much to ask for the mirrors to tilt down when you reverse. It prevents damage to your wheels. Shouldn't you have things in your car that prevent damage to it? Not saying to be totally dependent, but as an added measure of safety and security. I want that module.
And yes I love the backup camera and the sensors (first car to have it ever, I live in NYC and have been parallel parking without it for over a decade, still love it!!)

Another option that doesn't come on the G that I've been disappointed about. Infiniti does offer the lowering mirrors when in reverse, on ever model except the G. My '08 M had it, as does my '10 FX.
I realize that the G is the base model Infiniti, but feel as though there are a few options missing, especially when you upgrade packages. Lowering mirrors, air conditioned seats, and the actual tire pressure read out on the screen (I'm hoping that someone corrects me on this one, lol), are all options that should be included when you order a loaded G, in my opinion. My FX is premium package only, has all of these options, and the sticker was a couple grand less than the 2011 G37xS I picked-up last month with sport, prem and nav.
Funny, I actually don't like the lowering mirror option, bugs me.....

it wasn't too hard or too easy - it took the serviceman about 3 hours (assembling/dissasembling doors, wiring both modules to the reverse light, etc.)
it took some time to fine adjust both sides to tilt back to the same point (2 adjustment ***** on each module), but since then it works good!
the only thing I had to add lately was the locally custom-made time-module that delays those modules to work for 1 second (before that they activated when going from P to D)
