Hey Guys I'm really hoping someone could help me out with this before I bring it to the Stealership, I just purchased an 08 G37 6mt with 30K miles. Had the car for about 3 weeks and never took it to get checked out after purchase.
Today I was driving on the highway and all of a sudden the car stop accelerating even though my foot was on the gas pedal, I tried slamming the the gas and nothing as I was slowing down looking for a break down lane to pull over the car just starts accelerating like there was some type of 15 second lag from when I pushed the gas. I tried to see if I could make it to work and about 5 minutes later same thing happens and I almost cause an accident. I pulled over for about 10 minutes and turned the car off and started it up again I drove about 5 minutes to a parking spot and it happened again but this time my check engine light came on. Does anyone know what the issue could before I bring it in to the dealership this is seriously stressing me out
Any help or advice I can get would be greatly appreciated.

 

it could be your fuel pump not working properly

 

Did you recently upgrade the intake? If so, check the mass flow sensor, it may have came loose.

 

Check your warranty status.
