Crazy IPL G37 driver tonight...

Well, I know its been a while since I've posted, but I felt the need to call this one out to all the fellow G owners.

So, driving home tonight a black 2011 IPL G37 goes shooting by me on the residential street right outside my apartment complex. Speed limit is 30, I was doing 40, he had to be doing over 100. Following closely behind him was a Nissan Altima sedan that he was racing. I ended up catching up to the guy after he turned into my complex and was waiting for the gate to open up. Rolled up next to him and called him out. His response... "I was only going 80...in a 30."

I'm not gonna start with this holy-er than thou BS but pick and choose where you decide to do stupid stuff like this. Thank god I was paying attention and didn't make any lane changes or anything near this guy. But I would say speeds even of a self-proclaimed 80mph in a two lane residential street with plenty of other cars on the road is well beyond the limits of reasonably safe.

I sure hope this guy is on these boards. And he should be lucky that I didn't call the cops, or decide to take the law into my own hands.

Texas. I posted in the general forum because I wasn't trying to call the guy out, as much as issue a general warning for all the drivers out there to watch it.

creating awareness can never hurt in a situation like this. maybe people will think twice before mashing the pedal, especially if its not on the track. I cant say I dont have a lead foot, but doing 80 on residential roads is even too dangerous for me. just not worth it.

If a person needs a thread on a car fan page to help you become aware that speeding 80+ in a residential street is wrong then I think that person needs other help as well

All it takes is an idiot to do something stupid like that for something terrible to happen to someone else. If they want to get all stupid, by all means do so but not at the expense of others safety. I hate jackasses like that! SMH...

Nothing angers me more than people that speed excessively on residential areas. I would make it a point how much of an idiot he is, residential areas are the most unpredictable places to be. Cars can pull off a driveway at any time, or worse, you could have a kid jump right in front of you because he's chasing that football he dropped.

agreed tagged the plates, photo copied into your memory everything you could about the driver (ie hair color, clothing, eye color, etc.)

80+ (or 30 over the limit) will get you arrested in Hawaii.
