Dont worry OP (meaning you, since you started this thread), when I first started I had no idea what that was either. At first I read people calling it a valence, then a diffuser, then I learned the difference. The valence is the section to which the Diffuser is placed. Many people simply put a black vynil overlay over the valence, to give it a look as it has a diffuser. Again, the diffuser is a piece of carbon or poly or fiberglass that goes over the valence. sorry, iphone sucks at tiping.

+2 for Autokits. Alex (from Autokits) has been the only forum sponsor who has delivered. Everyone else who supplies CF parts or any other parts tend to fall through. Alex is as legit as can be.

Thing is, you get a diffuser then paint it black, and you take away all the detail in it that it looks like a painted valence from a distance

i know the autokits x diffuser does not require you to drill into your bumper. its attached by 3m double sided tape and the bottom screws into part of the chassis or some bar under the car. no drilling required since everything is there stock. you shouldnt have a problem with heat, i have an aftermarket exhaust and a diffuser and no problems so far. same thing with vinyl.. havent heard anyone complain about peeling or anything due to heat.
if youre going FI, then maybe talk to Alex @ autokits x to see how well the thing can stand to the extra heat.

No, it comes primered, yet mine needed more sanding and primer before painting

The only one that's ready to mount is the CF one...
