Lightbulb Avoiding Ricey-ness

So I was just reading borfoo's thread on his 'FastIntentions CF Catback w/18'' Res. X-Pipe + FI HFC's' .. And his set up is ridiculous! Props to you borfoo!
Now Im stuck though because I already have a Ark Grip True Dual Cat Back that I am in love with, Now don't get me wrong the sound is amazing I'm in love with my exahust, but I was thinking about going with some HF-CATS. I gotta car show coming up Saturday the 23rd, and I was looking adding a few more mods.
Though most clips on youtube with g37's with HI FLOW CATS sound so efn' ricey!? (DSIGUSTED!) lol.
So im scared that if I add HFC's to her she will sound ricey... which takes all the class out of the G37 in my opinon.

So I need your thoughts, Ideas, and/or personal experience on HFC's.

Your spoiler should decide your HFC's so start with a new aftermarket spoiler and go from there

Well thanxxx..@Aexis! lmao.
I haven't met a single G37 enthusiast like myself in my area. Kind of sucks cause no-one to help exchanging mod ideas and such, and seeing a lot mods in person do a whole more justification than seeing it online.. Kind of good though cause I'm the only one around with a bad@$$ g37! lol. ughhhh.

Because, quite frankly, they are. And the equipment they're using to record can't really capture the sound.

I've had the Fast Intentions HFC's with their cat-back and I had zeeeero rasp whatsoever anytime. I'm not sure how your ARK would react to different HFC's, but, from what I've seen, the FI HFC's have no rasp with any exhaust. Berks are fantastic, too, but they even make the stock exhaust more raspy on their own, so, yeah.

^ Pretty much any change in the cats makes the stock exhaust go to hell.

OP, if you think the ARK with HFCs sounds rice... well, I can't even come up with anything to say to that. Just. What?

Something to consider as well, is to do a quick evaluation and see if you can find a happy medium between thresholds... How important is the performance ? vs How important is that you sound good.

Example, consider your driving habits. How often are you red lining or just taking your car > 5.5k-6k RPM ? If that's the treshold when the hfc start getting loud, and your daily driving you find yourself staying below 4k, then I don't see a reason why not to, specially if you are benefiting from the gains.

I agree with you in terms of avoiding any sounds, or looks that would associate your car with the rice-crowd, but I think due to the displacement of these engines, that would be more difficult to do than let's say your typical 4 cylinder....mmmmmmmmmbaaaaaaaaaaaahvtec.

You'll be fine bro.

No rasp when attached to what cat-back? My Berks rasp like a mother****er on an MXP exhaust, and yet they have zero rasp on my ARK. I don't buy the "no rasp" claim. There are too many variables to consider other than just the cats.
