Supercharge & kiss your resale and reliability goodbye. Besides, the result for supercharging still won't replace the rush that the gixxer gives, regardless if youride alot or a little. Keep the bike, wish I still had my FZR.....nothin like it

Get rid of the bike. You're 23 and you got plenty of life left to live and not be confined to a wheel chair, or held down by some other permanent injury that could be sustained by riding a bike on the street with dumb **** cagers around. People just don't look out for bikers anymore. If you do keep it, make it a track toy. That's what I did. It's cheaper to run on the track, it's safer and more fun than riding on the street, and you don't need to have it insured. Throw some cheap race fairings on there and call it a day. Or sell it and get the supercharger. I'd look into risk vs. reward with riding a bike on the street. Track or sell.

LOL! Man you are way too young to be talking like that! I'm 38 and I have a 2009 Hayabusa! Keep the bike and have the best of both worlds! You can just always save up for that supercharger...

Rabbit, you are making the assumption that everyone who rides gets into a wreck. Sure, you can't predict the future, but to assume that everyone will get into a wreck is silly.

Just be a safe rider (meaning, don't speed like an a$$), wear your gear and be alert for any cagers that don't pay attention.

I've also found that cagers pay more attention when there is a loud cruiser on the road than a high reving crotch rocket. I invested in as many bolt ons that make sure people around me know im there (lights and pipes).

Im in the exact same pickle. Except im married and have a baby on the way. The wife has agreed that if i sell the bike i can buy a SC so I think im going that route. Houston kind of sucks for riding anyways, ever go in a straight line for an hour? its pretty boring. Although i will say there is no other way to get across town in 5 mins at 3am! lol!

Crashing is not that bad if you wear your gear.

Crashing didn't change a thing to my love for riding. Track closure did.

From: Framingham Ma,
WOW might be the only one who says Supercharger.

Wife has a bike and loe the look and sound of it and kinda wish I had one. But I would take the 8$ and supercharge mine if I had to make that choice, Just me tho. :/

Keep the bike till the end of summer. Enjoy it as much as possible. Then the weather gets bad, get the supercharger. Just what I would do. Sorta like best of both worlds!

****k! I know..I am really feeling the bike right now hahaha. I would love to dump money into the G but its sexy enough, nice and clean, big boy status. I can look elegant in the G and then hop in the bike and look like a hooligan! I was riding it last night and was just really really loving it. Can't give it up. I had a good month so maybe I will just try both in the future. But I am scared about the resale value with the charger..**** it the gixxer is too fun... so clean too

You're making a good choice by keeping the bike! I got rid of my 04 CBR1000RR in Oct 08. Thought I would not want to be riding anymore since "I thought" I was getting older. A year passed and had the itch the whole time ride again. Ran into a new 09 Busa in April 2010 on a deal I couldn't pass up and that's all she wrote. Point is, you sell your bike and you are gonna get the itch again sooner or later.

From: Framingham Ma,
To the above, Not everyone wrecks their bike but to much depends on the other drivers. All I mean ALL my buddies who ride have been hit buy some one else. One was hit twice- Hence sold his bike and bought a Twin turbo kit got his G.

save your bike; make and it track only(no insurance, less dangerous) and it will be a sport, a hobby, and a mini vacation(s) throughout the warmer months.

dumping that much into the car, will get boring after a few weeks. and it will not give you anything to look forward too- or plan for.
i work a lot as well- and am not made of money either, but i love looking forward to something (track days.)

Yeah. My buddy has a Ducati 848 and says the track is amazing. I got such a good deal on the bike I couldn't pass it up. I really want to track it though, it really is some therapy in the hectic work life that I have. I mean I can't complain, I make more money than most people my age but I have no life lol. The G is chillin. I did have a ninja 636 that I sold in the begging of the summer that i never should have gotten rid of, but, I did and I got a much cleaner bike for $1000 more so. I couldn't resist I was without it for 2 months, hit the casino, won 3gs, Boom GIXXER.
