Newbie question - clear sticker guards?

Greetings all -

A bit of a newbie question; last September leased a 2010 G37X Couple (White), premium package + navi, and splash guards. On the bottom of rear wheel opening (both sides) there are two clear like stickers. What in the world are these? Did the dealer forget to take these off and I am a moran to drive with these on? Or do they serve a purpose? Couple of pics attached.
Any help much appreciated it.

I also have a white X and I've been wondering about those things.... I hate how the edges became discolored. Are yours discolored, too? It looks like it from the first pic.

Anyone know if that would fall under warranty? I really don't think they should discolor like that.

Its just dirt, get some cleaner with a q-tip or use your finger nail.....

I guess I'll try a Q tip, but what kind of cleaner? Scrubbing with my microfiber wash mitt while I'm washing the car doesn't do anything for it.

Echo FM37, its basically dirt. Whenever I give her a wash I just use a little microfiber mitt with good old water and soap. Comes off very easily but gets dirty right back up.

They really do work. But I have chipping that goes even further up than what the guards protect.

I looked at it again and that entire piece is a different color than the car. I'll give it a little extra scrubbing next time I wash the car and see what happens.

Yeah, that piece definitely traps alot of everything around the edges. On my black G, there's a white outline around it from waxing.

I'm bringing back this thread because those white-at-one-point-in-time but now off-white "sticker guards" on my white G are REALLY annoying. Can I just peel these off? If not, how can I remove them? Has anyone ever removed these?

I want to take them off but I feel like they may leave behind something worse than what I have now....
