funny how people are i bought this last year for this and in december for this...Since the tsunami, the price of used cars has gone up. And that is not just the dealer, it is the market, KBB values went up. We had cars that were booking for 25k go up to 28k afterwards. So you cannot compare deals that are not in the same time frame not to mention different states. I notice a lot of people form east coast and mid west different prices, west coast is higher cost. I agree that they should have no way lent the car out knowing they had someone for it, or they should have had the person return the vehicle. In a sense too it could have been a borrowed car agreement where someone who is interested in the vehicle is given the car for a bit of time to see if it is right for them, but this also should not be over night.

Btw the cost of recon is that high, especially on a CPO. I can tell you that a CPO in low 30's had it's 30k service done as I can almost guarantee the leasee did not do it. New tires, (which again need to be oem for CPO) are not cheap, 3k seems a little steep as we usually spend 2k on our cpo's unless they needed actual repairs. If you are uncomfortable with the deal then don't do it, but don;t base it off of other's opinions, if it makes sense to you then go for it, but do shop around to inform yourself on what a proper deal is.
