09 G37x Coupe Bumper Swap

Hello,

I was involved in a minor fender bender that resulted in a torn front bumper cover. The body shop told me that the sport bumper was the same price. I would like to swap out my non sport with the sport cover while I have the chance. I apologize in advance if I missed this in another thread, but I searched and couldn't find anyone that had done a swap on an AWD. The car doesn't have Navigation or the tech package. I'm also having trouble finding the lower grill and faux vents, as I see others were also. Is a swap like this plug and play or is there anything that would prevent it? Anyone know the particular part numbers for the 09 sport bumper? Please give any advice that can help me make this a smooth swap the first time at the shop. Thanks a lot for the help!!!

Tim

all of the mount points are the same on the AWD as the S. the '11 bumper is an option too

I did this exact swap, I have an 09 X and put a 10 Sport Bumper when someone dented my bumper at a drive through. It is a perfect direct fit and the only thing you will need is the vents which ran me something like $180. I was thinking of doing a 11 bumper at the time but the shop I was using was giving me a hard enough time with the sport bumper so I just went with it.

09 sport bumper( had it sitting for months) i didnt want to put it on during the winter, so now its going on. If i knew about the 2011 bumper at the time, i MAY have considered it, BUT it goes for alot more plus wiring the fogs, more parts etc. ill be happy with it. possibly a lip but idk yet(at least they have them for the sport)

I know this is a old thread.

Could someone post a list of everything needed to do this swap?

I have heard that you need more than just the bumper cover. Is that true?

Bumper, bottom grill inserts (left, right, middle), and normal grill. If you're doing the '11+ you'll need the fogs and all that jazz.
