Thumbs up Newb w/ pics and questions...

Hey everyone,

I'm a noob and would like to introduce myself. My name is Grant and I'm 25 from CT and I picked up my 2011 G37XS Coupe last month coming from a 2006 Acura TL w/ 29k miles. I finally decided to join here after a couple of month's of trolling.

As you can see she's Moonlight White w/ Ebony interior with every possible option except for the Technology Package (not sure if it was even offered on the XS) Anywho, I don't need Laser Guided Cruise because I like to drive my car myself haha

The dealer couldn't locate the exact car I wanted (I want what I want and don't compromise, probably a bad trait in the long run) So they ended up locating one with the dark wood interior accent package (I absolutely hated the idea when they told me, but I am so glad I got it because the 2011 wood looks very dark and has a hint of red..I believe its mahogany and it looks very very good in person) and the car didn't have a spoiler which I had to have... So Infiniti ordered one and slapped it on last week... Finally complete.

So besides the Infiniti spoiler the only mods thus far are the tints... The car is a little under a month old and I'm already on my second set of tints.. The first place I took it completely sucked and the quality of the film and the job was terrible. So now that I got them re-done from a place I should have gone too in the first place the car is just about finished.

The only thing I really want to do next (besides lowering it, I'm on the fence) is exhaust.

I've been doing to research and I first liked the Megan Racing Cat back, but hate the titanium tips... They diminish the luxury look of the car in my opinion. So the only cat back I'm seriously considering is the Meisterschaft GTS. I personally think it sounds amazing. It has an incredible exotic tone, albeit a little loud but the other systems out there don't seem to change the tone and volume as much as I'd like to warrant the big price tags...

Any opinions, comments or concerns out there on the Meisterschaft? I'd love to see pics and or a video of a system on a G37..

Anywho, here are some ****ty cell phone pics of the car in order from the night I picked her up until last week when I got the spoiler installed.. No pics of the new tints yet because it's been rainy here... Better pics with a real camera to come soon.

Wow that was an incredibly long winded introduction, I apologize and salute to those who read it all!

Welcome...

I read the whole thing. Congratulations on the purchase. Car looks great. If you come out to the Foxwoods/Mohegan Cruise & Meet and you can check out a few exhausts in person...

Nice G man! Welcome to the forum. I have the exact same question about exhaust too. What's good for the xS coupe?

Welcome to the website Grant

And if I may make a suggestion for the catback exhaust, take a look at Fast Intention's CF catback.. I'm expecting mine by the end of this month, so expect a review sometime around then.

Edit: I just noticed that ur car was the all-wheel drive.. but still, I suggest you talk to Tony @ FI (since they're all made at his shop by request) and see if he can make one for you if you like it!

Welcome. Congratulations. Let me try to discourage you from the Megan exhaust and do some research around here before you decide. Lowering is a must. There is absolutely no fence involved. :P
Fast Intentions, as Borfo stated, has one of the best reputations around the G/Z community. I have dealt with the guy, Tony, and he is very customer friendly and can give you a deal.

Welcome and yes I read the whole thing. Fast Intentions truly has the best rep here although your personal preference is what matters. Definitely meet up with some others to listen and look at them live! Big difference.

Lowering with a lease is probably best with springs although coils are a better ride.

Good luck and congrats on your ride.

Thanks everyone for the welcoming!

WPPJR30 & grandules : I'm definitely going to have to check out that cruise at the casino's, when does this usually go down?

As for the Fast Intentions exhaust, I've checked out a few vids on youtube... and usually as the case is all the video's are pretty crappy lol. What's your guys take on the exhaust? I'm still hung up on that Meisterschaft exhaust... It seems incredibly sick.

Congrats and welcome. I d personally go with Fast Intention or ARK Grip exhaust since they are both FI friendly and ranked highly quality wise. Don't know too much about the Meisterschaft one and don't think anyone on this forum has it either.

Here is the link:

Northeast Foxwoods/Mohegan Sun Meet & Cruise

As for the Meisterschaft, it is basically a straight pipe...if you knew about the previous history of the company & where they got their design from then you would know what im talking about...not going to get into details but those guys will never get a dime of my $$$

oh & welcome to the forum & happy modding.
