Talked to the people at PacRims today and saw some examples, only saw a wheel done for a IS350C, but it looked pretty good. I'm not a person that ever wanted to touch chrome with a 8-ft pole, but this finish looked quite good. Yay or nay?
Best examples I could find through Google:
Not actual PermaStar finish, but it's close and it's on a G:

Dude....leave them alone, they look great, just drop your car w/coils and add spacers....
Agreeing with Yogregb again. LEAVE IT ALONE!
Your car looks great. The visual difference would be minimal. Seems like a waste of money for hardly a noticeable difference. Put the money to better uses like coils and spacers. You'll love the difference in ride quality too.

Reason: Forgot a word
I'd say leave the finish on the wheels as is, if you do plan on getting different rims I would be interested in buying your ipl ones. I'm in need if tires so might as well buy your ipl ones if you're selling
Don't change anything. it looks good.. btw where is the red seats?
The red seats are for Automatic only. Manual gets black seats with red stitchings. I kind of digged the red seats, but over the long run I'll probably get sick of the bright color.
