RIP Alicia, but happy birthday to me!

Should I also mention that I got a settlement of $12,500 from the Lexus? You be the judge of that.
thanks everyone, having that extra gear sure is more fun
I can't wait to take it out to the Hill Country, icfp (I'm usually in central and north Austin, so it's just up and down I-35 and Mopac for me).
Congrats and welcome! My father-in-law went from an IS300 to an IS-F.....little outta my price range, but sick car nonetheless. The consensus on first mods is usually a drop, wheels, and a lot of modded headlamps. Talk to RaulGCustom about the headlamps, you'll get arguments for lowering springs between H&R and Eibach. If you can afford, go with coilovers. Tanabe, KW, Tein, and BC are the more popular ones for our cars. Wheels, there are a lot of Vossen guys out there and they are reasonably priced. Powdered stockies is also a cheap alternative for something different as well. Have fun!
Welcome to the Texas consortium. I went to school in Austin. Lived there for 6 years. Was in the Hill Country a couple of summers ago in my G37S. Mucho fun. Great place to be. I believe UpRev is based in Austin. Adding a cold air intake (Stillen G3 or Injen CAI) and/or a nice catback exhaust with an UpRev tune would be a nice start for mods IMHO.

How do you feel about the H&R, Eibach, and Tein H-Tech?
Price isn't the biggest factor, but still a consideration. Coilovers would be good, but I don't know if I'd use their full adjustable potential (I tend to set and forget things). I had the Tein S-Techs, which gave me about 1.75" - 2" on my IS300 once they settled (too aggressive for what I'm looking for IMO). I like how there isn't much wheel gap on our cars to begin with.

I grew up in southwest Houston and came to UT for college - loved it, so I stayed after graduating. Are you closer to Beaumont now?
