God I love living in Austin, Texas. Don't know what that white stuff in the pics is down here but, after all the recent storms in the east and northern states, we will welcome you all down here. Shoveling that crap is for the birds. Jk!
Mine only goes out between 65 - 75 degrees and overcast (but 2.7% or less chance of rain). I don't want the sun to destroy my paint or interior. I also keep it inside if the roads are still wet. I try to keep it in an environment with about 10% humidity. No food is allowed in my car and all passengers MUST clean their hands with anti-bacterial wipes before entering. I also keep plastic bags in the trunk for everyone's shoes since I don't want to ruin my mats. I also ask that passengers not wear dirty clothes or breath too heavily but I am kinda flexible for this two suggestions.
I had to leave my car at the dealership for a week because it got caught out in a weather system which produced a discernible amount of precipitation for five straight days.
Sometimes owning a G is difficult. I guess with such a great car comes great responsibility. Kudos to those that are willing to sacrifice the G to the elements.
Okay, not flaming here...but are you serious? There's taking care of a car, and then there's being a wee bit OCD. Yes, these are great cars. But really, it's just a car. I guess if it was some $200,000 supercar then I could get a bit more obsessive about it. But well..it's meant to be used and driven.
Mind you, I don't let people eat in my car either but plastic bags for their shoes? Only drive it if it's between 65 and 75 degrees and almost no chance of rain? Keep it inside if the roads are still wet? And everyone has to clean their hands with anti bacterial wipes? I just have to ask, what do you drive when it's not under these conditions?
I mean I bought a little rechargable vacuum for cleaning my floor mats and I do try to wash it even in winter so the grime from the snow doesn't stay too long, but um..yeah.
Anyway, hope you're finding a way to enjoy your car.
Honestly this has to be my favorite thread so far. I need to get a pic of my G in the snow up here soon, I don't think there's been a day since I got my car that it hasn't seen snow. I was quite surprised at how well it does in the snow actually.
